Today, June 21, 2015 is the first International Yoga Day as adopted by United Nations based on the vote of 178 nations across the world. While initiating this thought of a global Yoga Day, Modi, India's Prime Minister said " “Yoga is an invaluable gift from our ancient tradition. Yoga embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action ... a holistic approach [that] is valuable to our health and our well-being. Yoga is not just about exercise; it is a way to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature.”

It is such an awesome feeling to see people from all over the world embrace yoga and the International Yoga Day. This is a video from Poland...

The International Yoga Day is quintessentially "Culture Connect", the spirit behind this blog from Artikrti. It is a global celebration of cultures connecting. Capturing this moment of history are these pictures from around the world that speak to wonderful mingling of cultures.
