Description
Ethnic, contemporary designer looks necklace/choker- Handcrafted gold like brass, pink stone and pink, purple, black resin necklace in a unique, avant garde geometric design.

The resin is from an evergreen tree that you find in India, called the banyan tree. The resin is melted, colors are added and molded into shapes using a wooden die. A painstakingly long process which calls for skill in getting the right colors and shape. This choker is a design synthesis of three different materials used in Indian jewelry- stone, gold painted brass and resin.

The artisan gives expression to his offbeat design sense by combining traditional Indian jewelry craft with design lines from Mughal kings and Egyptian pharaohs.

The purple and pinks of polished resin in a striking elongated double pyramid shape lend a modern character to this choker. The tubular gold painted brass rods contrast beautifully with the purple and pink resin and for added bling you have the square pink stones. All strung together with a black silk rope and to be worn like a choker, close around the neck OR plunge deep down and worn like a chain.

Designer looks with an ethnic Indian design feel- made to order for that Saturday night clubbing look.

India’s textile, fabric, jewellery & craft traditions go down centuries- the talent of the craftsman and his or her dedication to the craft, passed on from one generation to another. A weave, a mix of colors, a design or a motif, a print, a piece of appliqué work- each a labor of love for the artisan

Artikrti’s [meaning 'artistic creations'] mission is to take the fascinating kaleidoscope that is India and get the world outside to experience it. And add a stroke of beauty that’s different, to each woman’s life- to her personal beauty and her home.
