This is inspired by the Chikankari Embroidery style that was born in Lucknow in India around 450 years back with Noor Jahan, the wife of Mughal Emperor Jahangir. What started off as white embroidery on white, now features all colors of self-embroidered work on silk, cotton, muslin, satin Indian kurtas. And now as a design element on leggings. Yoga, pilates, running, fitness gym, lifting, cross-fit training. Or activity like dance, chill, shop, street-waltz, club-hop, watch the world go by-whatever your passion.
Yoga, dance, pilates, gym or just chilling....ethnic Artikrti is the new way to do it.
Ethnic Indian Design. Made in the US or Europe.
NOTE: If you would like to order the matching Sports Bra [Available in Regular and Padded variants] in the same design/color, look for a separate listing for "Noor" Sports Bra. or Crop Top or Tank Tee.
India’s design & craft traditions go down centuries- the talent of the craftsman and his or her dedication to the craft, passed on from one generation to another. A weave, a mix of colors, a design or a motif, a print, a piece of appliqué work- each a labor of love for the artisan
Artikrti’s [meaning 'artistic creations'] mission is to take the fascinating kaleidoscope that is India and get the world outside to experience it. And add a stroke of beauty that’s different, to each woman’s life- to her personal beauty and her home.
Thank you for dropping by. In true Indian tradition, we hope your visit to Artikrti was a pleasurable one and we do hope to see you again in the future.
